Yep, I finally repaired my Gearbox in my Datto. Thanks alot to all the guy's advice given, especially GXMAN
Just a recap, The box was taken apart to replace the reverse gear that was damaged. Wasnt releasing clutch fully, but once dropped out and reffited again, she works fine now, however, theres a slight noise whilst idling, and when I press in the clutch, the noise dissapears, I do know that this is the releleaser bearing noise. What I'd like to know, is that, would this noise dissapear with time, cause this is a new release bearing thats fitted on?

Definately a winding, humming sound.
Do you think that the cable may need adjusting a bit.

If the noise exists when the car is idling, with the clutch released, but it dissapears when the clutch is depressed, then it might be a gearbox noise.
With the gearbox in Mexican Overdrive [neutral] & the clutch untouched, the input shaft, the cluster, & all the constant mesh gears are rotating. When you depress the clutch, all the rotating parts come to a stop. This is when the noise stops.
Do we see a connection here.

After my gearbox was redone a couple of times due to some idiots that don't know what they are doing, I took it to a gearbox place.
Since then it has a noise also when it is standing still in neutral and idling. Mine sounds like when you have one wheel of the ground on a jack. You spin it and keep your ear close to the wheel. One will hear the bearing turning on the inside. This is how mine is sounding. When I press the clutch pedal in, it slows down to no sound in a time frame of 1 second. It is not a grinding sound.
The clutch was replaced about 5 months ago with a new release bearing. Still the same sound. I presume it is something in my gearbox. Does yours sound the same?
Frankly I am going to drive mine until it is shot or the thing breaks that is making that sound and then put in a reconditioned gearbox.

Thanks for the advice dude.
I think I'll adjust the cable like you said, run it a bit and see what happens after a while once all the gears settle in etc. cause I've been told that once a g\box is opened and reassembled, its prone to have some noises at first, but quitens down after a while of driving.

Mine makes no noise, foot on the clutch pedal or foot off the pedal.
Like ZU says, if it was the release bearing/bushing (throwout bearing), then it would make noise when your foot is on the pedal.
