about to get seriously creative and was wondering if there was anyone out there as mentally unstable as i am to about to try something like this:

my lil' '68 b10 4dr sedan.....
front disc brakes(haven't decided what yet)
a12 engine...
BMW conrods and some other internals(which type i gotta find out, haven't seen my shopping list for this yet)
2.6l mitsu. magna injection setup and plenum....
mounted to modified twin webber lynx manifold or similar.etc. etc.
gonna be a bit of fun.
will update this once i get this shopping list from my engine builder..
gearbox(dunno yet)
hilux diff or a chopped down borg warner of some description(again, dunno yet)
tee-hee fun n' games :)

sounds like fun.
good luck with it.

dattoman1000 sells a front disc setup, complete bolt on with new master cylinder for about $900 from memory. PM him for details.

have you thought about using a turbocharger? you're going EFI so why not go the whole hog?

A ute H165 diff will handle the A12 power. No need to go to such a large diff to heavy and HP draining.

Are you going turbo or Supercharger??

I think you could just customize a fuel rack and injectors etc.. to the weber manifold, proably less hassle then adapting the Magna setup.

Are you just looking at doing something diffferent? or you just want some HP gain?

but the A12 conrods are bulletproof - they've been abused for years in clubman/sports1300 racing for years and have earnt a legendary reputation for strength and reliability

My advice is to contact some of the guys who've run sports1300 (check outSupersports Racecar club of Australia) and get put onto an engine builder who knows how to make A12's go.

what am I talking about? Just talk to Erol at http://www.datrats.com.au/

No point re-inventing the wheel, unless you want to spend more money for a lesser result

It will not fit the A12 block. If it could be made to fit, i would already have one for my engine.

Frisky
Before paying out for a lot of bizzarre mods, it might pay to learn a bit about Datsuns first. You can achieve just about all of your goals with a lot less work, money or grief by learning from others on this site. Happy Datsun motoring

A12 crank has a 70mm stroke
A14 crank has a 77mm stroke
A15 crank has a 82mm stroke

I'm using the A14 crank in a 1200 block.

main reason for the BMW conrod idea is then i'll effectively have increased engine capacity to about 1700cc, not bad for a 1200 :)
then, the injection will leave the boost option open for a super/turbo charging later once any teething problems have been eradicated.
maybe instead of people telling me to learn more about datsun's, they should learn more about cars in general...just an idea :)
