Had an email from South Africa: email as follows:

"Hello from South Africa
A friend has a very original 1976 Datsun 1500. He is the sole owner and the car has covered 345000kms on the original engine. Unfortunately the garage door came down hard on the rear window and damaged the rubber surround + the chrome strip.
Have you any idea where he can get a replcement?

What car is it? I'm not aware of any Datsun 1500cc engine made in 1976.

If it is a Datsun car, the first place to check is with Nissan. My Nissan parts man can get rubber parts for 1971-1973 1200s.
