How many people on this legendary site are from Tassie?
If so can you tell me the best wreckers or shop to go to for parts n etc?
And what are your rides?

Cheers
Dave

G'day guys,
I'm down here in Hobart, I've only got a late model Datsun unfortunately - a 1989 R31 Skyline sedan.
I do call myself a Datsun lover though, I've had a B10 2 dr sedan (R.I.P), 120y, and a 200B SX at various times.
I'd like to get a 240K coupe and build a GT-R lookalike with a stroker L28.. Came very close a year ago but just missed out on a low km 240k for $1300
For now my old datsun plans for the near future are to buy an L28 to build slowly. The plan is to fabricate some mounts so that I can sit the cleaned up motor+headers+triple carbs in my loungeroom with a plexiglass top as a coffee table.. (probably with the crank and internals removed though, at least until it was all machined up).

Oh , also, I think there may be some sort of Datsun/Nissan club down here, as I have occasionally seen a big group of Datsuns/older Nissans parked up together here and there (last time I saw them was at the university a couple of months ago), but I have no idea who to get hold of or what the story is.

Here is my modern Datsun...

hi there , theres heaps of us datto 1200 fanatics in tassie, for pics of my car see my profile, i buy my car stuff from everywhere from around tassie to Queensland (my new 5 speed), i think brigewater wrecker is my fave (although i havent been there for years now) they had probably 8 in there main paddock when i was last there, although they have probably been crushed and have new stock now.

Goodaye I am from hobart
I used to own a datsun 1200 coupe but unfortunatley it never made it onto the rd.
Also owned 200bsx with worked l20b and twin solexs (went pretty well) and then i had a nissan bluebird Trx 1984 model.
The only thing i didn't like about datsun were the diffs, the only one that seemed to keep upto me was the bluebird 10 bolt (H190)
