The car is looking great everything has worked out pretty well. Only hope it drives well lots of changes and im out of practice driving fast its been over two years since I did oran park and have been driving a diesel work van since then LOL. I may need a change of undies for my first run down conrod !!!

The first day out in a CA18DET 1200 in two years is at Bathurst. You lucky lucky bastard!

Let us know how the dyno run goes and cant wait to hear how it goes at Bathurst. What class are you competing in, Improved Production?

hi, this seems to be the best place to ask what a CA18DET conversion actually entails, ive seen on www.maddat.com that they sell engine fitting kits, that include, engine and gearbox crossmembers, and mounting rubbers.
what i want to know is, what else has to be done? i know that it would require larger fuel lines, and efi wiring, but does anything else have to be changed? does the sump have to be modified? do any of the clutch/brake/steering parts foul?
thanks.

Good one dude.

I'm so envious of your rebuild speed.

Mine's coming along. My completion dates are slipping, but I should still make the Easter Nats.

My finances are tight, and my plans are big. That's the biggest problem. I'm getting tired of staying home to save money on weekends.

Cheers,
Chris

Please use the search bar on the left. We've discussed the topic of 1200+ca18DET a lot. If you can't find what you are looking for, please start a new thread.
