aren't there 2 types of stanza strut???

I know that they bolt onto A stanza strut. The struts need to be swapped around (so that the brakes are on the leading edge of the rotor). A washer is needed to center the disks.

Also brake line mods are nessecary as these brakes are imperial??
brake line mods are also required as these brakes have two entry points.

The brakes also slightly foul the bit which holds the 4 wheel studs, so some metal removal is required.

Seal kits for these brakes are also quite expensive.

Depending on what you currently have.. you may need a larger master cylinder.

no offence, but why would a 1982 volvo 4spot caliper "bolt up" to a 1978 stanza strut?

you may have to elongate a bolt hole, or have a billet adaptor made (about $60 ea). the bolt holes are at 76mm centres, and 68mm in from the outside edge of the pad.

i don't think they are alloy, they seem pretty heavy.

I heard these bolt straight to a sunny strut, but imperial brake lines seems to be a bit of a problem, why not use toyota 4spots of hilux?? They have metric hose fittings and bolt up to any z car strut all you need to do is space out the disc about 8mm?? http://www.geocities.com/row4navy/brake.html
This website has all info regarding this swap.

The problem is as big as you want it to be.

The simplest way of getting round the imperial threads is to keep the threads and the short piece of pipe seen in the picture. Then one gets a 3 way "box". You screw the to pipes into the box. At the other end you get a custom made brake hose which has an imperial connection at one end, and a metric connection at the other. And thats all I have to say about that.

The threads are metric anyway........so this discussion is pointless.

My mistake...I got a bit mixed up. the threads on the calipers are metric but according to ENZED a three way metric box is not available and thats where I got the imperial bit from.
