Hey Dave, yeah I'm going to build one unique A15 that's for sure. I always thought they'd be perfect for turbocharging. I really thought about using the quad DCOE style throttle bodies, but couldn't touch a setup for less than like $2000 if not more. Of course, after I made that decision I came across a used setup for $1000 (not including manifold). The 82-83 Turbo 280Z's used the same type of manifold/efi setup as this so I figured this design should hold up. Of course mods have to be made for this stock EFI setup to flow good with the Turbo, which is why I will be sending it to be Extrude Honed after I port it out a bit. The stock throttle body uses two small butterflies, which will be the bottleneck for performance. I'll toss this throttle body, and grind out that part of the manifold, I'll fit an adapter plate to mount any kind of larger throttle body I find suitable with a single LARGE butterfly (maybe big throat Z TB?). If it turns out that the modified stock EFI setup doesn't work too well I may go for the other type of setup that you're talking about. I already got rid of all the emissions junk (EGR valve, vaccuum lines), and plugged up all the holes. I also will not be using the water circulation it has. Basically it's just a manifold, throttle body, and injectors, flowing only air/fuel, with nothing else besides the sensors that the Haltech F9 ECU comes with. I will be using a stock A15 crank and rods, but I'll make sure they are treated right at the engine shop. I think they'll be strong enough to hold up to that little turbo. However, I want to make sure that the combustion chamber is bullet proof, so I'll go with some forged slugs, Total Seal Rings, stainless valves, and ARP studs/bolts. I may have the thermal coating stuff put on the valves/pistons, but not too sure yet. I kinda figure it will be more bullet proof than the Subaru engine the turbo came off of. And even though I'll up the boost (maybe 10), it should be strong enought to handle it. Like I said, most of this isn't going down for like a year, after I graduate from college, so I have a lot of planning/dreaming time ahead of me yet. It doesn't hurt to start thinking about it now so I know exactly what I need, and what I have to do. Talk to ya later! -Andy
