hello all, i need a 1200 handbrake, I tried a 120y one but it didnt fit. I own a ute if it makes a difference. If you can help that would be really nice.

Do you NEED?
1. The Handle Mechanism
2. The Front Cable
3. The rear cables and equaliser mechanism

The front cable is specific to the Ute (20cm shorter than coupe and sedan).

The Rear cable mechanism is specific to the diff type. H145 or H165 type.

yeah it does, thanks. so what i need is the front cable. but as far as i can tell that doesnt separate from the handle mechanism.

Just a matter of going to the right wreckers.

I use a Ute cable in my Sedan, Although, when I went 5link with B&W diff, I had to cut it down.

The cables do separate out from the handle, but I only do that to use the newer (less worn out) ute parts in my sedan. Depending on the model, you have to remake the pin that holds the cable onto the handle.

Sometimes cars are failed on rego from a perished handbrake cable rubber. As it allows exhaust gas back into the cabin.

So you need one in good condition.

I'm pretty sure that I don't have one.

I'll keep an eye out, but the Utes have been rare in yards lately. People aren't crashing them as much, and there aren't as many around.

yeah if you could help me out that would be great. It is one of the last few parts i need. Mine somehow burnt out when i was welding!? how does that happen!??! anyway if you can help me out that would be really really good.
