Hello All,
Well I have a question for all you datsun veterans... I live in Escondido, CA when I was on my way home the other day I saw cool lookin little red coupe pull out from a side street, I slowed down to let it catch up so I could get a better look at it (me being the big car fanatic I am ) I was driving in my toyota MR2 when all of a sudden this thing picks up and passes me, I was like "damn this little thing has some cajones!" I didn't see any emblems or anything on it so I tailgated it for a while trying to get a look at what this cool little car might be... Finally I pulled up behind him at a stop light and read his lisence plate frame that said datsun1200.com so the first thing I did when I got home was check out your website... Anyway what I'm getting to here is I thought this kind of car might be a fun project for my dad and I because I remembered that when I was growing up my next door neighboor had a datsun similar to this one... So I went to collectorcartrader.com to see what one of these things goes for, I typed in year range selected datsun and typed in 1200 in the model box and it said "please enter a valid model" what the heck? is there another name for this little 2 door coupe and if the member with the little red coupe who was driving down el norte parkway and then turned on broadway yesterday happens to read this, could you give me some more info on your car like year exact model etc... Thanks for takin a look guys! Have a good one...

Hi and welcome to the club. You can try entering b110 as the valid model. Sometimes car sites just refer to them as 110's so that's worth a try too.
Happy hunting!

Look on ebay or http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/.
In the US it's almost always listed as a "Datsun 1200". It is sometimes listed, as previously mentioned, as a B110.

Is this what you saw? This is a Coupe and it's actually from SoCal near you.

Not mine either. I drive a Home Depot White 1981 210. I live in the Tierrasanta area. There are a few that I've seen. A couple of 210's driven in my area by old people. There is a B210 or the gen before sometimes outside the Honda Dealership (I think an employee owns it?) And there is a mech from Lexus or Infiniti that owns one, don't know which color or model though...

Of course the reason he didn't find one at collectorcartrader.com was because ... there aren't any for sale!

As Mat pointed out, the few offered for sale are on the specialty sites: Dimequarterly, eBay or right here in the Classifieds. OK, so collectorcartrader.com is a place where they often land. But not every week. More like once a month.

The Lexus technician has a red/orange coupe. Since he was formerly a Toyota and Nissan tech, he's not afraid to mix-and-match parts:
