240z was about 150 HP, 1130kgs? a bit soft in the rear half of the car. A mate of mine with a half cage has cracked the paint on the roof due to the rear end flexing and pushing the cage up.

the 260z is a bit stiffer and heavier as well.

Engine outputs vary between countries due to pollution restrictions etc, but most people upgrade to the L28 engine out of the later cars. Capacity is easy power.

Jump onto: Google and do a search, there is heaps out there.

A 240Z is on my oneday list, along with a Roadster/Fairlady. Problem is that at the moment I like to chop things to make other things fit and these cars are becoming collectable now. I will have to learn how to own a standard car oneday, then I can buy one.

My other dat is a '72 Z but right now it's completely stripped and basically a project on hold. But anyway, www.classiczcars.com is a good forum Z info, though they don't have a tech/spec section like this site has unfortunately. Hybridz.org is a forum for any type of Z mods you could imagine. For historical, specs and just info try www.zhome.com.
