I Own a couple of MGB's and I was tearing down a engine that was in a parts car I have and the cylinder head is not from a MG, but from a Datsun/Nissan. It looks identical to a "B" series MG motor except it has smaller combustion chambers and valves. I have attempted to research where this head came from but have come up empty. It appears to be in very good shape. I want to find out if it has any value before I put in money in it getting it maginfluxed. The markings on it say "Nissan Japan", "B34", and "0728C". It is a 4 cylinder OHV configuration. Funny enough it bolts right up to the 1798 MG engine. The rocker shaft even oils at the same spot and the thermostat, heater valve, and temp sensor are located at the same spot. Any help would greatly be appreciated. If pics would help let me know and I will try to post them.

Here is a link o a picture I took. I was looking to take out the valves and saw that it has double valve springs, if that means anything. Open in new window

Looks like a J-series head which was available in 520, 521, and 620 pickups here in Japan. Probably in more applications as well and I'm not sure about other countries.
