hey guys, i'm nearly at the point where i need to hook up my SU's on my L18 and was wondering how people with L series converisons have setup their throttle cables?

i know the L series had more of a cable/ linkage thing and the A series had just a cable, what about the A Series SU's were they linkage or cable? can i use the same cable setup?

Not a very good pic but this is how mine are set up.

Rather dodgy but does the trick. I'd say the best thing to do is scrounge a throttle cable out of a 180BSSS or other car that came with the same carbs.

Its dodgy cos its not secured into the runner (means cable has to turn corner upon leaving the plastic sheath) making the accelerator pedal a bit sticky. Also the bit on the end which holds it into the lickage is just a bolt with the head cut off, and welded to the cable. Dunno about you, but i reckon thats dodgy.
