probably have to put spacers between strut base and steering arm .
no advantage for street but sprint / circuit cars there could be some .

I put spacers between the x-member and chassi (can never speel that word) rails (bodylift) for engine to bonnet clearance whilst maintaining sump to x-member clearance in my SR conversion. u shouldnt do this unless u have to.

yeah, i did it too for extra clearance, and to get the gearbox low in the tunnel. but definately dont do it unless you need to. it is not an advantage as it put the whole steering geometry out. if you want a cheap handling upgrade, extend your lower control arms and have your radius rods threaded. this will increase castor and camber. feral is the man to speak to on why not, that guy is a guru!

I just did this my self to get the engine as low and as far back as possible, in my Z20 swap, not sure on the effects since I have not driven the car since done, so I am kinda wondering how it will be everything seems to turn and clear fine, but hey I dunno

You need to space the steering arm up from the balljoint, the same distance you spaced the crossmember - otherwise you will have increased bumpsteer.

I have done the front end already
it was just to see what effect it would have on the balance of the car the engine + gearbox weight lower would change things quite a bit
