if it's a Z31- First gen 300ZX - it will have a VG30ET ( EFI, single overhead cam, single turbo)

if its a Z32 - 2nd gen 300ZX it will either have a VG30DET (EFI, double overhead cam) or VG30DETT (EFI, double overhead Cam, Twin turbo) if it is a VG30DETT - your 1200 will be fun!

depends on how much you are paying for the wreck
the 300zx you either love them or you hate them they are a bit like a harly they are great when they are going and are all about the image but when they break its time to fork out the dollars i my self have a bit of a soft spot for themi nearly baught one instead of my r32 skyline
if you are thinking of a motor conversion for your 1200 it would be to heavy and way to wide

I was thinking maybe for a 69 510, or possibly a 74 710 that I just picked up

If I get it I am only interested in it for parts no interest in fixing it
