Well it seems the thing to do lately so we took the 1000 out for a few laps on the weekend.
Not a bad run for a new combination and driver.
We ended up 3rd in class in U2L outright unfortunatly 2 sec a lap slower than the 180B. He has a heavily prepared L20 and a decent driver though....lol. I was restricting myself to 6500 rpm and no 5th gear though. And I was taking the hairpin in 3rd instead of going back to 2nd like I should due to poor clutch adjustment.

Shifter link fell off once...... thank god for racetape.
Damaged a flare putting it back onto the trailer at night..... no biggie
Unfortunatly I might have done a head gasket...... though the initial thinking is manifold flange gasket by the noise but I won't know till I pull it apart.

All in all happy with the day ........ now just need to make it and me faster

everyone else is debuting their cars or getting them back together, and mine is sitting under the house without an engine. I'm going to have to do something about that - starting tonight!

good work for a 1st outing neil. Ill have to come and see it run sometime.
