xcuse for another forum post for these notorious gearbox's.
a good friend of mine is a good friend of some guy nice and high up in nissan SA. he can get one imported for me but is concerned that the gearbox's will not fit into my old 1200.
so if anyone has physically acquired one of these 5 speeds from SA, has it been successfully bolted to an A12 or A15 from another country ?
i was told nissan SA has never been owned by nissan japan, but by a SA mining company. they built pressed and made their own nissan product - this is why hes saying i should find out if it will fit. he was saying about 140B / 140U gearboxs and thinking a 180BSSS gearbox from AU would fit. w00t
