I know this subject has been gone over plenty...But ...has anyone done a turbo/fuel injection on an a12. I am planning on building a late 70's 210 and would like to be competitive in the local street races. I know that keeping up with the hondas and sr20 powered nissans is a pipe dream but I'd like to put a few in their place. Any info on results from members who have had success with this would be greatly appreciated. Thx

When you say "street" race do you mean drag racing or those geeks who actually race on the street???
If it is so called street racing do yourself a favor and stay away from those guys , they can't drive and the car prep is questionable.
Your local drag strip should have test and tune nights where anybody can run or get yourself to a track day or local SCCA Autocross.
This Monday I was at an instructor seminar for track day instructors with a group of fellow racers. The folks putting on the event were from Russel racing schools and we all agreed that the absolutley worst guys to have to deal with are the testastarone fueled street racer. Also real racers , race on street courses not streets...Long Beach Monaco etc.
I know I haven't answer your question nor will most folks on this site if your aim is to go out to the street racer geek fest. Did I mention I hate "street" racing??

Street Racing is at the local track ie: street legal cars and as far as driving school I went through a few years back - Originally from Stockton Ca where I worked as a cop and was forced to go' Dept policy.Did a smart thing and moved to NY ..But I still will let it go from stoplight to stoplight on occasion. Been more into the Jeep deal the last 10 years but as I have two boys nearing driving age thought I should build something that they can have fun with besides the jeep. anyway you still didn't answer my question about FI/Turbo mods for the 210. Really I'd like to get some info from someone who has done this so I'm not changing parts out constantly with unsure results. I have owned a few datsuns my favorite being a 1979 210. I think this will be the best way to introduce my boys into the fun of driving and not have them get hooked by the honda crowd - no offence to the honda people out there-. This forum seems like a great place to get information on a cool car that seems harder and harder to get any help on.

Thank God...you're a racer. Sorry for the rant those guys drive me insane.
Go to the tech section on this web site there is an extensive post on the subject. I've considered the set-up but now that I run my 1200 in Vintage the injection part is a not legal. Welcome aboard , good luck with you're project and keep us posted.

I think the hardes part of injecting an A series is the intake manifold, after that , it should be all easy. If you wanted to go MPFI try a GA16DE setup, the dizzy can be adapted to an E series engine so it could probably be worked back to an A series. I've heard that the GA16de ecu with an APEXI SAFC2 will work for turbo usage too. I've got one that's going to power a e15et someday...

I'm in the process of turbo charging my efi 210 just run into a few distractions like family and work. but have the turbo and preformed bends , need to get the manifold done .after that it shouldn't be too hard. Engine photos in the EFI section.
