2.25" inch alumnized is fine for a non turbo 2.0. But I'm sure some will disagree.

there's not alot of point going any bigger than the collector on the header.

I run a 2.5 exauhst with a flowmaster 40 series muffler. I am very pleased with the sound. It does not sound at all like a "fart can". Deep and Aggressive

I'd go with cyclone headers 2 1/4 piping and a good turbo muffler.

For a hot A series 2.5 inch is the go... with a sports muffler which only just keeps it under legal sound tests...here its 92dBa @ 3metres @ 3000rpm (approx)

I"m becoming convinced that a whacking great muffler with an internal capacity greater than the engine, just after the collector is the way to go.
It's damn hard to organise, generally involves a large bump in the passenger footwell..

Anyone else tried this?
