Im planing on putting an a14 and gearbox from a ute into my sedan, I have the cross member from the ute also and the tail shaft.

I was just wondering if the wheel base is the same on sedans and utes?

And also was wondering if the yoke on the ute tailshaft will fit the sedan? they are different diffs arent they?

You should be able to use the sedan tailshaft.

I run a ute diff and toyota gearbox in my 1200 coupe its a nice conversion but had to spend a lot of time with the tap measure

Ute diffs are normally H165 4.11 ration while a sedan is H145 3.9 i think

I know the ute diff is different but I dont know if the length of the tail shaft is different?
And I dont know if the bolt pattern on the ute tail shaft will fit the sedan diff?

I sold my stumpy skyline box suitable CA18 sedan tailshaft to a CA18 Ute owner and it fitted up fine. I believe B120 Ute/B110 sedan are the same wheelbase at at 2300mm.

We both had Ute Diffs H165

Chris.

Nissan part numbers for tail shaft assemblies:
Sedan 37000-H1000
Ute 37000-G1000
