hey guys i am new to the forum and just purchased a 1978 b210 gx. i know it is not a 1200 but the question is about the a14. the car cruises around town with no problem, but once i put it on the freeway the temp. starts to rise. it does not overheat but it does go well past half. i dont know where to start, i got the air deflector under the radiator, which was missing, thinking it would solve the problem but it did not. not sure if it is the water pump going out or what. i would think it would run cooler on the freeway and hotter in town with stop and go traffic. any help would be much appreciated, thanx in advance.

Sounds like the marginal radiator problem. If you let it sit at idle for long enough it would over heat too. Sounds like you need a new radiator core, flushes rarely work, get the radiator fixed before it blows the head gasket.
