I have a 5 speed here that came of an A series, its got a smooth case like a sunny box with 60 on the side its a dogleg box and the drain plug points back not down. It looks very similar to another 5 speed box I have which has the drain plug pointing down and is a conventional shift pattern. What number box is this dogleg one.
Thanks Olboy

Sounds like the dogleg box is a 60L 5-speed,
your description of the similar conventional 5-speed you have is a 60A ( just like mine ).

The 60L if I remember right is 78-79, while the 60A is 80-82. For more reliable information, see our club article 5-speed
