the signal wire for the tach is power to the coil from the ignition
it goes past the tacho its an induction system

the wire goes through the back of the tacho no brake to the coil

ah k cool that makes sense, but, i guess that means i have no tacho then....

unless i run the power to the coil from the computer, past the tacho (however i need to do that)

hmmm, dunno if i wanna do that, maybe i need to go for an aftermarket tacho

With aftermarket ECUs and 1200 tachos, it's almost a fixed requirement.

I worked out a way with my standard CA18 loom to get it working, but I'm yet to fix it with the Autronic. Wasted spark throws an extra variable into the equation.

But now that I think about it..it should still work... Even though it's firing 2 coils at a time, the positive line feeding all of the coils, has the same signals on it. Just that both are firing at once... I'll wire this up when I get home.. Thanks for making me think about my problem some more.

Cheers.
