my ute isnt reving above about 3000-4000 rpm it was all good and it come off the road so i could replace the gearbox and now its back on the road and playing up
its still a smooth ride untill it gets higher in the revs
any ideas, electrical, points, coil????

ok so i changed the points and the coil to brand new ones and still the same problem any ideas???

Whats it feel like when it wont rev? Does is stumble and hop. I dont know much about gas but it could be possible its not getting enough for the turboed engine. Are the spings in the points still working properly. Check them as they could be making the points bounce early.

aside from points and coil are you getting enough fuel could be flooding at higher revs choking the car ????

spoke to a mate today said maybe its a turbo problem
maybe seized turbo restricting the exhaust so when its due to come on boost it got nowhere for the gas to go
would this be possible if so how do i check
will check all the other suggestions and get back
