Lately I've been thinking about building a sunny b310 race car and putting a VG30DETT and gearbox in it.I don't know if I would actually do it but would like to.Is it possible to fit this engine and gearbox into this car and what mods are needed....suspension:brakes:diff etc.

i've seen earlier vg30 single turbo engines in 1600's and bluebirds, not sure if would fit in sunny, could try old vg20 single turbo six, my opinion on good engine that not to hard to fit is z18et. good luck

I don't know Sunny1046...... I've heard a lot of negative things about the VG30DETT.
What about a RB26DET? Or even better a RB30 block with RB26DETT heads.
Are you just after the V6 thing? Because the power / reliability of the RB series seems to make that the better option.

I'm thinking about building this b310 and putting a six cylinder engine whether it's a v-type or straight 6 with turbo.If there is trouble with the vg30dett,I wouldn't consider it.The rb26 and rb30 are interesting.What other six cylinder engines could fit in this car?

VG30 = oil starvation.

why not slot in a 1UZFE? they're narrower than the VG30DET / VH45DE and a supra box is easy enough to put behind them

heaps of supercharger kits/billet cams/ forged pistons/advice/parts here for the 1UZFE/2UZFE/3UZFE

You're in the US, so there are lots of options. If you put a V6 in that car it sounds like you would be pretty much going for straight line performance. I would go with a Buick 3.8L V6 turbo with an aftermarket computer setup....I'm speaking of the Buick Grand National/T-Type engine. You wouldn't even have to modify that engine because a Grand National which is almost twice as heavy as a Datsun will do low 13's high 12's STOCK. That would be a monster car!

I just read info on the buick 3.8l v6 t-type turbo and toyota 1uz-fe.Both are very powerful units.The buick v6 is great but the toyota v8 is even better.The car will be a beast with that engine and doesn't even have a turbo or supercharger,pushing 260+ horsepower.But is there a manual gearbox that can fit the buick v6 and which supra gearbox fits the toyota engine(5 speed or six speed)
