lowering/spring cutting question (not a dodgy one)

I have lowered my car 2" in the back with an extra leaf added and in the front I put king spring lows in which I was told a 1 1/2" lower. Now with it all together id like to bring it down the further 1/2" at the front. Im just going to cut it as they are already stiffer springs and its not like i'll be hacking a large amount off. So in theory its not a dodgy job that some people do of cutting ridiculous amounts off stock, soft springs.

The question is how much do I cut off the king spring lows to bring it down 1/2 an inch? Any ideas? Maybe 4 tenths of an inch or something.

try measuring the compressed length of the spring, with the weight of the car on them. Mark 1/2 inch lower on the next coil down, taking into account the part of the spring that is covered by the top spring perch. Keep in mind that you dont want the spring to short as the spring may fall out when there is no weight on the strut.

Ive thought about that but it would nearly have to be fully extended to have all weight come off for it to fall out. I dont think that should happen unless in a rally or something.
Should be ok. Ill try measuring it with all the weight on it. Sounds like a good idea.

Thanks
