Hey guys, Yesterday I bought a 1200 ute, its that one off ebay that was posted on here, I have a question though, as it has no stearing components, the guy said I can use a 120y steering column and steering box ,but what about a pitman arm? Can I use the 120y pitman arm? Has anyone had to do this??
Also another quick question, who makes or who has a spare windscreen for a ute??? as I don't have one, (I know cheep air conditioning but the boys in blue won't like my idea much)
Thanks for any help
Cheers Damo

The way i remember it, a cracked or broken windscreen is cause for rejection of registration renewal, but the absence of a windscreen is not cause for rejection.
Can anyone with a copy of the NSW 'Motor Traffic act, 1909, as ammended' verify, as my copy is dated 1972, so things might have changed since then.

yes,you could use the 120y column & steering box,but consider using a sunny column & steering box.i seem to remember that the sunny box has a quicker ratio, from a thread on this sight.use the sunny pitman arm as well. with the ratio & the shorter 1200 steering arm, this should give you quicker steering. plus, you can use the sunny bits to move the headlight switches & wiper & washers switches up to the steering column.
