MWahahahaha it fires good and strong!!!
Oh my heart sank when we tried it the sarvo with the new dizzy and it didnt fire, but with a bit of fine tunning it cranked over... I set it to about fully retard (with the bolt on the bottom of the dizzy movedd aswell) and it fired over quite niceley actualy, pretty lumpy but good enough.
A bit more fine tunning saw the mixture screw taken out a bit more and the dizzy put back to just advanced - practically in the middle.
I think i mite need a new air filter from all the #### that is being produced by the nasty backfires we had going

!! One lite the whole thing up with an orange glow!!
But jesus its a sounnd to the gods when it ticks over and it sounds so strong for the first time!! The 'whomp, whomp' of the new cam is pretty musical
The idle screw is way too high atm but all this timing and mixture stuff will be sorted out as ill book it into ProCarb for a complete tuneup etc..
For those who dont know wat ive done to the motor ill give a run down :
Fully reco'd A15, tubbed, bored (20 thou over) honed
New cosworth pistons, slightly oversize
refaced guides
polished crank
fully balanced
lightened flywheel
hardened valve seats
a bit of extra swirl on the head
new Waggot cam, grind #125 (ill find specs if wanted)
new seals, gaskets, bearings etc
and a complete overhaul of guides, seats etc.
This is all being fed by a weber 32/36 DGAV and the extractors are on the way (just finished my 1st and 4th primaries today woohoo) all going thru a 1 3/4" system...
ONcee again a HUUUGGGE thanks must go to everyone who helped me thru this 8month or so period of stress, hell and joyus occasions!! Lets just not celebrate too much yet as it aint on the road yet!!
A very happy Dave!!!
