Hey guys,

was wondering if someone could post up some pics of your own engine mounts from the crossmember to the engine so i have a rough idea what im doin when it comes time to fit CA18

I was gonna go with 4agze but they only come in a rear mounted position to my knowledge.

Or direct me to a link where someone has already posted pics.

cheers

Do you find the cortina engine mounts are nice and firm? I'm currently a bit unhappy with the 1600(510) mounts that I'm using, as they are too soft. It's giving the exhaust too much opportunity to move about.

I'm thinking of either getting stiffer engine mounts or adapting an engine stay, sourcing it from a smaller FWD car.

It's a timely discussion for this fella too. I find the CA engine mounts are a touch too big on a 1200.

The cortina mounts are very solid not much movement at all & made from nolathane!! rubber might be softer???. The stocko Ca mounts are huge and being so tall its impossible to get the engine sitting nice and low without modifying the crossmember heaps.
As for S13 5 speed you will have to cut and fabricate a new box section to cover the rear part of gearbox.
