I was wondering if the diff from a 1200 coupe which is leaf spring has the same fittings an mounts as the 1200 ute diff.

I was getting a diff made up an the guys have the specs for the uts diff but not a coupe.

I suspect they are the same. If someone can tell me beforre i buy one it would be very helpful.

cheers

If you're putting a 1200 ute diff into a Coupe yes it is the same width and the mounting points to the leaf springs are the same. The Coupe tailshaft will however not bolt up to a ute diff. You'll need the ute tailshaft and also the u-bolts from the ute diff, or suitable replacements. Not sure about the steel brake lines...I made my own.
Cheers. Dan

Hey galahazard...
What diff are you using for the build? Is it being made by a workshop or a mate? If a workshop which one? Only ask cause i'm looking into getting a diff made...

cheers

Hey guys,

thanks for the feeedback.

DATT-MATT: Im getting the diff made up by Diff technics in Kograh, Sydney.

Its a fully recote diff, 7 1/2 inch borg-warner which is strong enough for my purposes. Im only doin a stock CA18 conversion. LSD, 28 spline axles, Disk brakes, all mountings in right spot for ~ $2500. Not including fitting but its piss easy.
I think is a reasonable price considering what you get.

To do that with another diff its roughly ~$2500 anyway an i couldn't be bothered mucking around.

sidedraught: Na dude, no thanks.
