Hey does anyone know of any major problems that arise when fitting a ca18det into a 1000 ute, I have done a ca18det into a 1200, is there any more stuffing around, it just looks alot smaller, thanks.

Not possible without lots of dimensional issues.

Wanna be different, looks like you'll need to do the yards

Well i know in QLD they are too light for engineers to pass with a CA in it (apparently) and my panel beater/sprayer was telling me he was getting one in soon to fill with lead. Takes the panels off and puts led in them so it can get the extra weight (apparently it was 100kg needed)

Engineers apparently don't care they just need to see the certifcate from the weigh bridge so they can pass the conversion.
About all i know on this topic. :)

I think Dodgeman actually trial fitted a CA18DE into one of his 1000s and it didn't fit. I could be getting things muddled up but it would be worth sending him a PM in case it was him.
