I made about that much (108bhp at the wheels) from a L20 with 76cam, twin 40 Dellortos, headers and exhaust. Otherwise standard - including the standard open chamber head. It would probably go just as well with a smaller cam - say 72degree.
Where are you? I have some left over L20 stuff that you might be interested in.

should be dead easy if you use Stanza x-members and the short/stumpy gearbox. but L20 and late L16 are the easiest engine blocks to use with that x-member because of the sump/oil pickup arrangement.

yes,the stanza crossmember is the go,bolts right in(done it myself).getting a stanza 5 speed is also an option for gearbox.use a sunny auto crossmember to bolt it in.also,if you can get a h165 stanza diff housing,it'll bolt in too, just a slight increase in the track.if you can get the h165 rearend, grab the tailshaft,it should be short enough.i combined the front yolk from an australian assembled stanza with a 1200 ute tailshaft,& it worked, but have since grabbed a japanese tailshaft, but haven't checked the length yet.just extend the wiring for the coil & the water temp sender, run a long coil lead across the engine,& the alternator & starters are in the same positions.the only problem is the clutch master cylinder.it would be nice if you could just drill a hole in the firewall & modify the standard pedal, but there's part of the sunny pedal box in the way.i've used a stanza pedal box, which took some modification to the box to fit.

The 2 litre im building is going to have a standard crank, rods and bore but im putting flat tops in it. Im also putting a 76" cam in it and running 40mm dell'ortos. How big should I port the head If at all?

if you port the head yourself, remember size isn't everything.
i've been looking at L heads in section and the short turn (the lowest part of the port just before the valve) could do with a review.
that said, raising the roof of the port (ala porting VN V8 heads) and puttying up the bottom of the port to reduce the "turn" should see substantial gains in torque throughout the whole powerband.
the short turn isn't as bad as, say, an E15, but it could do with some work.
but that's just my opinion.
