undergoin the rebuild on the ute and i want the best affordable brake and suspension setup ideal for race conditions

im goin the stanza strut conversion in the front and ive sorced a stanza (with round headlights) and need to know what other parts i will be needing to do the conversion and if there are larger calipers that will bolt on

polyurathane bushes will be used throughout and a pedders 120y swaybar up front. not sure but was thinking adjustable strut tops and strut brace or is that to much

lowered king spring will be used up front and reset leaf in the rear with additional tension clamps on leafs

and for the brakes, slotted and drilled rotors and high performace pads will be used up front.

can any mods be made to the drums as this car will be also used on dirt

any input on a good suspension and brake setup would be appriciated

If your stanza struts dont have the girlock calipers you need to get a set of struts that do as these have the big stub axel that allow rotor changes

you should only need some very good pads in the girlock calipers for braking I can do 10 laps around winton raceway with no fad with mine oh and good fluid (dot4)

DONT clamp your springs if anything get some softer 120y rear springs and grease between them
just fit the overrider from the ute springs to the bottom
That is unless your building a drifter

motorsport rotors are going away from drilling as they tend to crack

you can fit trx bluebird rear disc brake set up to a ute diff or go with the bigger drums from a bluebird

I recently set my coupe up with good frount shocks (koni) and bluebird LX progressive rate rear springs in the frount with a standard 120y frount sway bar and a pannard on the diff this seems to have worked well for me just have a little bit of axel tramp in slow speed corners

I also lengthened the bottom arms buy 25mm to give me good neg and caster

thats my 2 cents worth
