hey guys
I have a set of wheel 15x6 with offset 40, and there seems to be no way i can fit them on the front with the current struts(Standard drum brakes) I have ruled out spacers as the threds on the studs are only 25mm long on the front.

Anyone know if a stanza strut conversion or simular will enable me to fit these wheels on my 1200 sedan.

Cheers frank
any help will be awsome!!!

even with stanza struts, still going to hit the struts... you might have to get hub adaptor spacers that bolt onto your existing hub... can be from 10mm to 40mm thick.

hub adapter spacers are the ones that bolt to the studs then have other studs to bolt the wheels to? If so, they aren't legal, I've only seen them available for 4WDs. Why not just get longer studs ~$5 each, and spacers, would end up cheaper then hub adapter spacers. Still not legal though.
I've got a set of 120Y struts available if they're any use to you.

where abouts do your rims hit on the strut? iv got 15x6 185x65x15 and it rubbed on the base of the spring seat so i cut the nob bit that hangs out strait down the middle and hit it flat with a hammer. now they fit lol

I just fitted 185 70 x15 inch wheels to my ute. It all works because I have coilovers. The springs end up above the wheels. I have stanza struts and volvo calipers. Will fit a lower profile tyre after rego

Ah the joys of fitting wheels of any description to a datsun! I have a 120y sedan, and fitted some 14inch corolla rims recently - the reason being that they were the right offset to clear the struts. This was no easy task though, because the toyota wheels have unique wheelnuts which are of a different thread pitch to those on the 120y. I ended up going to the wreckers and smashing studs out of cars with with the right thread for the nuts to fit, and then machining the studs down to fit the housings for the back wheels, and drilling the front hubs out to fit the rest of the studs. Pressed em in there with a 100 ton press so they aint comming out! This prolly isnt legal either, but its less likely that the pigs will realise you have different studs than if you have spacers there!
