Its been a while since ive done any work to my datto after the rebuild other than drive it.
I decided to change the diff center tonight and fit a 4.3 navara instead of the 4.6 . Anyway get everything appart ready to pull center and the F$@#n thing wont come out looks like Ill have to drop the springs too to get it out oh well Im glad I wont have to do it too often Its funny how you forget what a bastard cars are to work on sometimes.
My gripe for tonight ill be over it tomorrow

Hey Andrew,
navara centre or whole assy?? 4.3 sounds very good - H190 I assume with the 23(?) spline axles? Maybe you should use the bigger hammer and swear a little louder
Good luck!
Cheers

andrew, you can't just pull the axles out then
slip the housing & centre out,can you.then again,if you've got the car high enough, you can just undo the rear shackle & roll the diff out.as they say in the gregorys, fitting is the reverse of removal, just roll the new housing in.the
bugger is getting the shackles lined up with
the holes in the rails.like has been asked,is this a h190 or a borg warner style centre.because i've seen 720 diffs with 4.1 or 4.3 ratios,& there's even a 4wd navara with a 4.8 ratio at rushes here in sydney.

I already have the axles ect out.The center comes out but hits on the rear of trans tunnel tonight Im going to use a bottle jack and push the springs down a little to see if I can get it out. The diff is a H190 620 ute with 30mm 29 spline axles.I have an assortment of ratios for it a 4.1 4.3 4.6 and 4.8 from 720 ute and Early navara. The stock 620 center is alloy and 4.6 I was suprised how clean the oil was that came out was expecting bits of metal ect I bunged some nulon gearbox treatment in her maybe that helped.
