We have one guy in the US that uses the piston pin bushing from a big truck engine. I just don't know the source.

If you are looking for the white metal bush that gets pressed into the rear of the gearbox extension housing to support the tailshaft then unfortunately they are hard to get replacements for. I had to press mine out and measure it so it could be ordered through a specialist gearbox shop, even then it was hard to source.
Best bet might be to find an old gearbox and press out the bush then refit it back into the other box. This of course requires the gearbox cases to be split. Make sure the oil gallery goes back into the same position or the bush can run dry and seize.

Yes, the white metal bush at the end of the tailhousing. In the US, they were not available from Datsun as a replacement part. Only the entire tailhousing was available.

The bushing has never been available in Australia as a separate part. The only means of securing a replacement from Nissan is, as you have found, by replacing the whole extention housing.
I had to buy a new housing when my bushing failed some years ago. The 1200 housing is/was serviced as the replacement for the 1000 four speed trans.
