just removed my manifold to do some port matching and port polishing...

this is a 9 year old engine... 4 years in japan, 5 years in malaysia in my B310. Doing about 1000km weekly for past 3 years. Doing water injection for past 6 months

wow! talk about clean!!!

a 9 year old engine should have about 2mm of oil grime in the inlet ports and a nice black exhaust port.

that's incredible - just goes to show what a difference water injection really makes.

What is spinning me out is that you have water galleries under the inlet for 3&4 but not 1&2..... welded up? never there?

actually - funny water injection should come up.

was reading a discussion on another forum about ammonia storing hydrogen in a safe and compact environment (ammonia is NH3 - one part nitrogen, 3 parts hydrogen).

i wonder how ammonia injection would go instead of water...?

one part nitrogen and 3 parts hydrogen

versus

one part oxygen and 2 parts hydrogen...?

you might even be able to make a fuel out of it...? now, what did i do with that little A12 i left lying around here somewhere...?

N2 is inert and would tend to quench the combustion process rather than enhance it.

I don't mean to get too off topic, but 9 years ago they weren't producing anything here A series powered... 1994 was the last year of utes, and there weren't any oval ports... so what's the story?

Looks like the water injection kept it nice and clean though... what else have you modified?

very true, N2 (nitrogen in its natural state) is inert..
did you know the nitrous oxide, (yes laughing gas, from the fast and furious) is N2O??
now don't you tell me THAT is inert...
its TWO parts nitrogen and only ONE part oxgen. Hydrogen is a lot more combustable than oxgen.

Now if you really want a punch, then instead of using N20, you use O2, straight oxgen. The only problem is that it makes your engine run a bit too hot......

The engine is off nissan vanette... i imported the engine through a local chop shop. i had to register the engine with my imigration before i can use the engine. it was end of 2000 that time and i was told it was 4 year old engine with low mileage. so plus 5 year i'm using now, it'll be 9 years of usage.

I've been using the engine as it is since i first transplanted it. only mod is a lightened flywheel.

been using Conoco 10W-40 synthetic oil with Bardahl 1 engine treatment oil and tufoil for every 8000km (2 months)

stock carby, A15 intake manifold and 4-1 exhaust.

i haven't remove the head from the block... so it should have the original gasket still intact ;)
