coupe might make an appearance, has a faulty regulator which drains the battery above 4000rpm.... found my spare which caused it to missfire instead... put the original back on and still at 4000rpm + charge light flickers on and off.

4nik8 is getting a lift with me, any one else coming?

my ute is not finished but in a state that can be driven... im keen to come but unsure if i wanna find out how reliable or UNreliable it is more to the point when im in Apollo bay or similar....

apart from zipping it around the block a handfull of times for test runs it'll be the first time ive driven it properly...

what do u guys think...? should i pack some tools and go hard.... or should i maybe just cruise on easily down to boofs then jump in with someone else from his place on...

or should i do the smart thing and wait till its complete b4 i get too carried away??

yeah drive it to boofs, see how it goes, if all's looking well continue in it, you know we will be there to help if something goes wrong

of course it depends on whats not finished... main thing to be worried about would be overheating on a long trip if you havent tested it on a longer drive???

i'd be happy to come across your way for a bit of a working bee for a day, to get it ready if you need help getting stuff done?

definately at least bring it to boofs mate! my car has never been ready to this day, and you'll have a team of brains ready to problem solve if anything goes wrong. its sort of like a safe injecting room...

it runs at about 82deg C at constant speed.. and twin 10" thermo's cut in at about 93deg and take about 30 seconds to cool it and shut off.... seems to be ok in the cooling department... although i havent driven it on a hot day yet... im unsure how the single row SR20 radiator will cope in extreme heat...

i guess its the unknown that worries me....

and the fact that its a rotor

just dont want the day to end on a trailer...

its proven to be reliable so far... when i say unfinished it needs some wiring tidied up and i need to source some bits and pieces of pollution gear before i get it engineered..

apart from that its all there and working.. thanks for the offer for a working bee.. it doesnt need much its just that it hasnt had a lot of road time...

take it easy down to boofs.... but if you need someone to put some testing kms on it... i will gladly volunteer to do some easy kms (no one else has offered yet).


seriously, take it to boofs, lock it up and scam a lift with him... im sure hell oblige if you let him take yours around the block once or twice...

think you should at least give it a test run to here .... see how it goes and decide from that. pretty sure i'll have a spare seat .... plus would be interested to see the 12A next to the A12
if you want to do the whole run and something plays up can always pick it up after and throw it in the back of the maverick

boof if i bring it down to the breakfast bbq and decide to hitch a ride for the rest of the way.. is there somewhere safe i can leave it?? also will there be 2 spare seats possibly as i may have company??
