howdy partners,
was driving home tonight and decided to play a game i came up with a while ago .....
spot the car on the road older than your datto
tonights trip home took around 1hr 45min, (melb cbd to torqauy) and the closest i think i came was a beat up kingswood ute that may have been the same year and a big old ford xc facoon ...

trips like this give me a slight gooey type feeling .... knowing how special my little sedan is these days

anyone else ever tried this ???? i can highly recommend it if you haven't

..... might not be such an exciting game for some of you ute drivers unfortunately

When I drop the kids at school I see an XM Falcon, EH Holden, Mini (all owned by students) & a Triumph TR4 (Immaculate). As for newer cars there are 2 Lotus Elises, an MX5, Mustang style Celica & R33 GTR.

When a friend of mine got back from an Australian vacation, he told me how amazing it was to see so many old school jap cars driving around.

Even here in socal, you usually don't see cars like this unless there's an event or show.

Dude here in the southern U.S. you see lots of old american iron drivin the roads , cause we don't have the stiff emission tests that most of you have. but I don't see alot of old imports . untill you drive alot of the back roads and find em in peoples back yard with weeds growing around them .

I have sitting in my workshop now a 69 Datto 1600 rally car. I live & work in a small town I often work on some older stuff. A couple of months ago i did a service & tune on a EJ holden & yes it still has the grey motor in it & the owner brought it new from our local holden dealer in 62. Theres another EH ute around town & the body is falling off it. The best old car in town is a 72 1200 ute its red & its also a genuine 1 owner. Owned buy a little old lady who just drives it to & from the local shops. I dont think its left town since she brought new in 72
