cheers
josh

ps. soon ill have the ca18 (nonturb) aswell as the five speed, wolf 3d and 2.5inch exhaust system + extractors, none of the performance stores we ask have seen this done, only

CA18E or DE? Either way expect no more than 85-90kW or so unless you do some real
work to the engine.

My guess is 90kW in a 1200 Ute would get you a 1/4mi of high 15's.

Dude,
I ran a 1200 sedan with a CA18DE for 4 years.
'93-'97. And it went pretty good, but nowhere near as good as the turbo. The turbo setup with standard computer and 2 1/4 exhaust (left over from the DE) Only got about 78kW at
the rears.
With larger exhaust 2.5inch (CAT removed), I'm certain it's in the 90kW at the rears now. I'm still only capable of mid 14s-15 flat on the quarter. I think it must be the computer
now, so I'm saving to get that next. I know that close to 200kW at the rears is achievable, but dangerous with the standard pistons.

Chris

ps. going down a big hill once with my non-turbo I turned my 100mph round speedo all the way back to ZERO. Don't try this at home kids.
