Will a steering wheel boss kit to suit and early 1600, 180B, Z car suit a 1200 or 1000?

repco or autobarn should be able to help you out if you have one nearby. mine cost in the vicinity of 50 bucks,
you may( read probably) have issues with the indicators not cancelling properly.

No the spline diameter is larger in these other cars.

You must get one to suit a 1000/1200 or 120Y.

The 1000 & 1200 share a common shaft & spline size that is smaller than the one used in the larger models, but to complicate things even more, the spacing of the pins that cancel the blinkers is diferent.

The one on the left is a 1200 wheel while the one on the right is a 1000 wheel. Notice that the pin spacing for the 1200 is much wider than the 1000.

Looks like you need one that is specific to your application, or maybee they make one with multi holes & you fit the pins where needed.

i bought a boss steering wheel and the bloke i bought it of had to go through sprint auto parts to get a adapter kit. They ended up geting one from somewere in quensland they said it was the only place they could find one. i havnt put it on yet becasue im rebuilding my ute but i hope it fits when i do!!!
