Best scenario is A14 and dog leg 5 speed - awesome, awesome car. Very potent competition cars too.

Yes, I believe all 310s come with A14. None came with A15.

The "Datsun 310" is Nissan chassis code N10, a front-wheel-drive model and known as Pulsar in other markets. Not to be confused with B310, which is a rear-wheel-drive model.

Australia, New Zealand and the US got A14's but Britain and Europe received A12 powered models. I guess the "Big Block" countries just had people needing to get places faster!

If I'm not mistaken these were the last A series engines cars here . then the E series took it's place in 1982.

The 1982 Datsun 120 (B310) had A-series power. That may have been the last Nissan car in USA with A-series. They still sell the forklift engines (A14 and A15).

The B310 was replaced with the B11 Sentra (fwd car, larger than the Pulsar series). That reminds me, I saw a 1983 Sentra today with rally stripes and spinner wheels. Very cool.

Yeah I am a forklift mechanic and have worked on a couple of these engines , but don't see many and they even have DATSUN on the valve cover. I also have an 84 pulsar with the E-16 engine .Thatt's what i have been racing
