Dude i had the same thing a couple years back and then once i had gone through the trials of buying another car thinking it's new it will be fine it costs more.

stick with it cos you can only replace so many thigs before you hae a new car. remember it's a 25+ year old car and some people don't replace sh!t.... i had the original shcoks in the front and the same with all suspension rubbers. but it gets to the point wherte it just ends up being globes and fuses and filters and fluids....

My march '77 120Y "The Defect" has a loud "Tick Tick Tick" sound - normally at idle - and a "budda budda budda" sound - like a V8 idling... hope it's NOT a bearing...

I have replaced

1 the alternator

2 the auto - now has a F4W60L - it wasn't playing fair - I don't know why I really did the conversion - as "Sleeping Beauty" is a factory manual car...

3 the front clip - bar Scuttle panel...

4 the drivers door - tore out lower hinge mounting point - lack of maintainence but put back the glass out of the door I took off in the new door

there are a truckload of other niggling things but they will get rectified when I get "Sleeping Beauty" going...

I know where there is a low mileage A15 - < 60,000 Km but they want $770

then again...
I'm hoping that I can get a complete (mechanically) 180B for no more than $350
