I've owned my 1200 coupe for nearly 17 years, & am finding it difficult to get parts from wreckers, even specialist Datsun wreckers. Does anyone know of a good wrecker in the Melbourne area? I am chasing a pair of rear axles for the 1200 coupe with a standard jap diff. Do the early 120Y axles fit? Any help appreciated.

hi mate im not one hundred percent sure but i think that the saulsbury type 120y diffs (the ones where the centre can unbolt) i think they may fit the axles that is as for the rest the centres prolly do fit but the yoke is bigger and requires tail shaft modification

120Y diff is wider than a 1200 so I doubt that they would fit.

Swapped a different looking (expect BorgWarner) 120Y diff into the ol' 1200 stationwagon 20 years ago.

So..they do.
