this morning i finally got my 1200 to the engineer for its inspection.. and much to my delight it was all approved first time round..

the engineer was impressed with the conversion, and was pleased that it passed both noise level and braking tests with flying colours...

i then went to vicroads and did all the paperwork/transfer business so its finally on the road legally...

thanks to everyone who's helped solve my problems along the way... its a great feeling to have it engineer approved and i just wanna say it wasnt done without the help of all you guys on this site....

although it may seem a project complete...
this is where the fun begins

thanks again guys

hey Ange,
which of the engineers did you use, and would you recommend them.
I'm about to start putting a ca18 into my coupe and want to see if its worth getting engineered?
Any pitfalls along the way that you can point out?
cheers
Bruce

i used cartech in richmond... they are on the list of vic roads VASS signatories...

if you plan to drive your coupe on the street then i say yes its worth engineering...

my advice is to speak to an engineer before you start the conversion... and consult them along the way when you are uncertain about something.... this way you will avoid any pitfalls... and most likey pass through the inspection first time as i did...

good luck
