hey guys just about to install a boost gauge sender wondering whether to put it on the inlet manifold after my carbies, on the airbox, or on the piping ??? just wondering about correct reading, or if i will get a vacuum reading in certain places. will having waterinjection damage the gauge or anything? i just want to know for sure before i go doing permanent changes to stuff.ill post a pic to help abit

If its a boost/vac guage and you want it to read engine vacuum, it needs to go between the head and the carbie throttle plates. I've seen fuel droplets build up in the lines before and they have never been affected. Inside the guage is a bent copper pipe that trys to straighten with boost pressure. Both the copper and plastic pipe are fuel/oil/water proof.

sweet so ill just tap out oner of the cast manifold bosses. one more thing, does it matter which runner its in? as in will it have same reading at no. 4 cylinder as no.1?

They will read the same. If it was for a MAP sensor etc I would reference all ports, But its only a boost/vac guage.

thanks mate, lucky i posted on here or i wouldve gone to work tomoz and turned back my brass fittings on the lathe and silver soldered them into the wrong spot !!!
