I'm looking for a 1200 exhaust manifold, and a stock air cleaner.

Thanks!

I am located in Huntington Beach, about 30 miles or so South of Los Angeles. I just edited my user profile to reflect that.

I am modifying/restoring a Morris Minor Van and get a lof of parts from NZ and Australia. Sending currency is not a problem for me, so if ANYONE has a manifold or air cleaner, please let me know. I believe my exhaust manifold is cracked, so I'm keen to get a replacement for that as soon as I can.

Anyone switched over to extractors lately???

Thanks!

I've got a few exhaust manifolds and stock air cleaners, but they're all late model, so not sure how they'll match up to your needs. I can send you pics if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer.

I've got a spare A14 motor with the manifolds on it, but I believe I read here in the Tech Section that they might not match up to the A12. (Extra studs, or the port shape might not properly match up as I recall)

I believe my exhaust manifold has a crack in it, and I don't want to pull it off until I have a replacement or I find out about repairing it. (The car could be down for a long while)

I believe the manifold is cast iron, and I am going to speak with an excellent welder tomorrow, and see if it can be repaired by tig or gas welding.

There is a company here in the US that sells headers/extractors, but I don't know if they will fit with the air conditioning compressor in my car. That thing is BIG, and really in the way!

I know the air cleaner on the A14 faces the other direction than the A12. I have an A14 air cleaner on another vehicle, and will see if that might work. I know there is a LOT more going on with the altitude sensors and other things with the A14, but maybe I can rip some of that out and weld up the holes.

Thanks again, I need to do some investigating to see if the later items might work.

I have both of those if you want them. I am located in the bay area (near oakland.) I also had that a/c unit that had a very big compressor, I think I know what you are talking about. I never fitted a header with it though, I removed the ac system, and then later put on a nissan motorsports header.

Duncan, I have a spare original (light blue) datsun 1200 air cleaner that I would happily send to you for the cost of postage. Let me know if your other offer falls through.
It would be good to have a friend who lives near Classic Industries, as my other car is a 68 Camaro. I'm in Melbourne Australia.

Thanks! I haven't heard back from Big Ed yet, so I may take you up on the offer! (I really need the manifold, though)

Classic Industries is literally right around the corner from my house.

I don't mind helping, but if I buy anything there and ship it, it may be more expensive as I believe they get a discounted freight rate due of the amount of goods they ship.

If I can help you out, let me know.

I've had quite a few 68-69 Camaros also. They are a lot of fun, and geting very pricey here in the States.
