hey its gud that the forums are back up... i was beginning to miss em lol

anyways.... ive still got electrical problems in my 1000 when the blinkers are on the dash lights flicker with them. also when the blinker is put on one way it does both

ive replaced fuses in the fuse box, cleaned the fuse box with wet n dry sand paper, replaced the flasher can, and tested most wires and there is power to them...

does any1 else know wats wrong wif it

any help is appreciated

oh also ... my ignition coil gets reaaaly hot only wen the ignition key is turned

Pull the front lenses off the blinkers and clean the light bulb sockets.

Also find the earths in the engine bay, remove them, and sand them too.

For the hot coil, is either busted coil, or someone who's rewired the ignition (removing the coil ballast resistor).

You'll need an auto electrician if you need to ask us about these sorts of problems. Sort it out before you end up with a fire.

If you have points ignition and simply turn the key to on without starting the motor and leave it on for 5 minutes. The coil will get hot. Your points will also burn. If you leave the key on long enough, the coil will eventually get hot enough and pop.
