one problem after another lol..... just fixed the brakes and indicators on my coupe..... and now my car wont start..... its had no fuel in it for a few weeks.... the carbie wont draw fuel... already replaced spark plugs, spark plug leads, and dizzy cap, the firing order is right and the points are still sparking... is it a possibel fuel pump failure????

(running an A12 if it helps)

cheers shaun

Try putting a bit of fuel down the carby to get it goin. It'll probably be right once it gets the fuel back up to it.

Unless your fuel pump is stuffed

It's relatively easy to check the fuel pump. One way is to take the fuel line off from the output side of the pump and crank the starter to see if it pumps fuel. Make sure the fuel line is going into a container so it doesn't pump gas everywhere.

The other way is to pour a small amount of gas in the carb and see if she starts up.

so car WILL start, and then runs out of fuel?
sorry I'm lost. Fuel pumps are cheap and plentiful, replace it anyway.
