Hey all i need a new exhaust for my a12 im going to get datrat extractors and an exhaust system to suit But i am going to do an a15 conversion and im wondering if the exhaust will be in the same place when i go to put the new engine in withought modifying crossmembers and stuff like that...Thanks

The exhaust will be in the same place but the A15 is a taller motor so you will need to factor that in when building your A12 system. Also you probably have a round port A12 head and the A15 will be an oval port so you will have to decide how you are going to match the A15 extractors up to the A12 in the meantime.

yeh ok thanks wil the extractors bolt onto the round port head and roughly how much higher is the a15?

When people are talking round and oval port head they are talking about the intake manifold. The exhaust manifold on both heads are square/rectangle...

Here's what I mean
A12 head

A15 Head(well A14 actually - but close enough)

The exhaust side looks fairly similar - the welsh plugs on both motors are the same size I think - so that might give you enough for a relative measure.

Someone might have the actual dimensions kicking around somewhere.

Also keep in mind that the manifold studs are in a different configuration on the the two heads.

man y get a extractors for the a12 in the 1st place? coodnt it just wait till you got the a15 in there? just cut the exhaust shorter or something for now if you wanna be heard
