hi there just a question regarding paint compatibility is laquer paint ok to spray over the stock datsun amino alky enamel or do you have to sand back to metal or use a isolating primer ? cheers rocky

Strip it back and give your datto the loven it needs >.....Isolator primers are ok over enamel but if your going 2 pak best to strip it off as in time shrinkage will occure and the enamel will show its ugly head and blister as you have sealled it and enamel needs to breathe funny enough

i was talkin to a guy an he recons that the way 2 go is just rub it back real good an prime it an chuck the 2pac on?? but it sounds like a bare metal is more professonal.

Rocky is not talking about 2pak he is wanting to use acrilic lacquer which will fry over air dry enamel but a good rub downwith p240 and primer it will be fine over original datto paint but u are right 2pak is the way to go
